Program
Description
During this 1-hour activity, expert psychiatrist David
W. Goodman, MD, will discuss the manifestations and
functional impact of ADHD in children, adolescents,
and adults. Practical approaches to the diagnosis
and treatment of ADHD will be reviewed, with an emphasis
on strategies to recognize and address comorbidities
and to tailor therapy to meet the needs of individual
patients.
This activity consists of a prerecorded presentation
(approximately 45 minutes) and a prerecorded
question and answer session (approximately 15 minutes).
Successful completion is achieved by listening to
both the presentation and question and answer session
while completing and submitting the posttest and evaluation
form.

Methods
Each teleconference will consist of a live 45-minute
presentation. Following the teleconference, there
will be a 15-minute interactive question and answer
session with the faculty. There is NO FEE
for participating in this activity.

of the activity workbook on the bottom of this page.
Registrants may request a printed workbook if unable
to download.
Target
Audience
The target audience for this activity is psychiatrists,
psychiatric nurse practitioners, and other clinicians
involved in the care of patients with ADHD.
Educational
Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the participants should
be able to:
- Discuss the changing symptomatology
of ADHD from childhood through adulthood
- Adjust pharmacologic treatment
to best suit the needs of a given patient, depending
on his/her age, comorbidities, lifestyle, and preferences
- Implement strategies to overcome
barriers to the recognition and effective treatment
of adolescent and adult patients with ADHD

Education to provide continuing medical education
for physicians.

Statements
